US CHAMPIONSHIPS RUNNING WILD!

In mid-June San Antonio, Texas was very good to the Chula Vista Paralympic group. The only thing that could hold them back was a rain delay and postponement. Proudly we can say 100% of the resident and non-resident athletes who train at the OTC_CV group made the world championship team going to Lyon, France. These athletes include:
Rob Brown, David Brown, Lex Gillette, Markeith Price, Josiah Jamison, Jeff Skiba, Katie Schewanick, Sabra Hawkes, and Austin Pruitt. We are very proud of their dedication and performance.

A week later the OTC-CV group of able body athletes headed out to Des Moines, IA for the USATF Championships. The meet was a qualifying meet for the world championships in Moscow, Russia. A very young group competed well and we were able to have one runner-up and three third place finishes, as well as many top ten performances. Whitney Ashley made her first team in the discus by placing second. Brittney Reese has the World Championship pass and will make the trip to defend her world championship title. Ronnie Taylor Jr., and Sean Furey finished 3rd place in the Long Jump and Javelin giving them an opportunity to make the world championship if they are able to achieve the standards of 8.25m in the long jump and 83.50m in the javelin by July 20th.

The OTC will host meets on July 5th, July 17th and July 18th to help athletes achieve the standards. www.runnercard.com
